Getting started

Tap the + button on the home screen to create a study set and give it a title.
Open the set and add your term and definition pairs — for example a word and its meaning, or a question and its answer.
Tap Study, pick a quiz type, and start practising.

Quiz types

Flashcards — flip a card to reveal the definition and mark whether you knew it.
Multiple choice — pick the right definition from four options.
Fill in the blank — type the answer from memory.
Matching pairs — match terms to definitions against the clock.

Frequently asked questions

Does StudyBuddy need an internet connection?: No. The app works entirely offline and never connects to the internet.
Do I need to create an account?: No. There is no sign-up and no login. Just open the app and start.
Where is my data stored?: Only on your iPhone, inside the app's private storage. See the privacy policy for details.
Is my data backed up or synced between devices?: Not in this version. Study sets live on the device where you created them, and deleting the app removes them permanently.
How do streaks work?: Complete at least one study session on a given day to keep your streak alive. Missing a day resets it to zero.
My reminders are not arriving.: Check that reminders are switched on in the app's Settings screen, and that notifications are allowed for StudyBuddy in the iOS Settings app under Notifications. Also confirm Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing them at your chosen reminder time.
How do I delete a study set?: Open the set from the home screen and use the delete option. Individual terms can be deleted from within the set.

Reporting a bug

Please include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the StudyBuddy version number, and the steps that led to the problem. That makes it far quicker to reproduce and fix.
